1977 witnessed NASA take full advantage of a rare planetary alignment in order to slingshot space probes out of the solar system towards interstellar space for the first time in human history. Aboard each probe was a message encoded onto a golden record.

It was theorized that if an extra-terrestrial civilization were to intercept this form of communication or that this cosmic time capsule would be discovered by a future interstellar generation, the most universal (i.e. mathematical) language to use across light years of spacetime would be Music. A compilation of sounds, songs and images were assembled by a team of acclaimed scientists to best reflect the highest levels of humanity for this future dialogue, whether it be human or alien.

Working with the Cuban Intelligence Agency (G2) while trapped in exile following the bloody overthrow of Earth’s first democratically elected government of the people, Beatriz Allende, the revolutionary daughter of Chile’s fallen president mastermind a plan to hack the Voyager Mission.

She ingeniously succeeded at swapping the content of the golden record with a sonic creation of her own that better represented the current state of the world. This would be her final call for help, a truthful testament to the cosmos of present day life on Earth through the eyes of a people ruthlessly corporatized.

On November 11th 1977, with her mission completed and nothing left to give she courageously took her own life, but not before writing in her own hand one last poetic command to be deciphered by her rebel band:

“After 44 revolutions around the sun,

When they have left the system,

And all is done,

Release the record.

May peace please come.”
